On July 1 the Charity Club of Pattaya held a joint birthday celebration with the Queen Victoria Inn in Soi 6. The club was celebrating its second year of raising funds for charity and the Queen Victoria was celebrating five years of keeping the beer flowing for the people of Pattaya.
The pub is also the official home of the club. Owners of the Queen Victoria Inn, Vic and Jane King are avid club supporters, so having the joint birthday party at the Queen Vic seemed the logical choice.
Celebrations started at 2.00 p.m. with the Queen Vic band striking up. Free bar drinks and snacks were laid out for customers old and new and as always the event was also raising money for charity.
Recipient for this fundraiser was the Mercy Center run by Fred and Dianne Doell.
Not only did the Charity Club get support from the Queen Victoria, but the drinks were sponsored by Guinness, Tiger Beer, Heineken and John Smiths.
At 5.00 p.m. the all-you-can-eat carvery was opened, with all the money it raised going to the Charity Club. Everyone tucked in while the San Miguel band, sponsored by San Miguel, set up and started playing to the already packed event.
The total amount raised was 59,505 baht.
As customers, friends and supporters enjoyed the evening’s entertainment, Malcolm and Christina started to sort out the raffle. Some of the prizes weren’t collected so check below as you may have a winning ticket!
